Information on the Authenticity Of Customer Reviews

At TURTLBACK, every consumer review is checked for authenticity before it is published, ensuring that reviews only come from consumers who have actually purchased/used the products being reviewed.

The authenticity verification is carried out by comparing the review with the order history of the merchandise management system in order to make a previous product purchase a necessary condition for publication of the review.

Technical measures:

We use various technical measures to ensure that email invitations to submit reviews are only sent to email addresses that were actually used to complete a purchase.

Online shoppers receive a rating invitation from us once they have registered and completed their order. The link in the e-mail can be used to submit a rating for the item actually purchased.

In all cases, further data on the order is collected in order to ensure that the rating can be reliably assigned to an actual purchase.

Manual measures:

Manual verification is done by a comparison of the rating with the order history of the merchandise management system to make a previous product purchase a necessary condition for publication.

In order to verify the authenticity of the rating and its legitimacy, the ratings cannot be submitted anonymously. The e-mail address through which the purchase was made always serves as a verifiable reference for the rating submission.

In the event of anomalies or indications that suggest that the rating is not based on experience, despite the above-mentioned technical measures, proof of the legitimacy of the rating submitted will be requested and checked accordingly. If the requested evidence cannot prove the purchase of the goods or the use of the services, the ratings will be deleted.

Special cases: Imported reviews:

In the case of these ratings, we do not ensure that all ratings come from consumers who have actually used or purchased the goods or services. Therefore, these ratings (marked as "Imported Rating") are not included in the calculation of the overall rating and are marked as imported ratings.
